Indictment accepted for 123 defendants in e-signature fraud investigation
The indictment prepared against 123 defendants regarding a criminal organization that created forged documents by imitating the e-signatures of public officials has been accepted by the Ankara 23rd Criminal Court of First Instance.
Following the discovery that electronic signatures obtained through illegal means were used toalter thedriver's licenseexam resultsof manyindividualsand create fraudulent vocational training certificates, an investigation wasinitiated third wave investigation, among whom the ringleader of theorganization, considered to be Ziya Kadiroğlu, and 18 other organization members were foundthe indictment prepared against a total of 123 defendantswas submitted to the Ankara Chief Public Prosubmitted to the court by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office with a request forconsolidation.The court charged the defendants with
"establishing an organizationfor the purpose of committing crimes","membership in an organization", "forgery of official documents","violation of the Law on OSYM Services", and "unlawful acquisition of personal data".to obtain or disseminate" and "opposition to the Electronic Signature Law" offensesfor which prison sentences ranging from 4 to 136 years are requested, the court completed its review of the indictment and decided to acceptit.
Following the acceptanceof the indictment,and with the Ankara 23rd Criminal Court of First Instance preparing the preliminary report, the hearing dThe date and time will be determined.
