Indictment against Rezan Epözdemir accepted
The indictment requesting a prison sentence of 4 to 12 years for the detained lawyer Rezan Epözdemir on charges of "mediating bribery" has been accepted.
The court panel, which decided to continue his detention, ruled that Epözdemir will appear before the judge at the Istanbul 18th High Criminal Court on December 19.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Lawyer Rezan Epözdemir, who was detained on August 10 as part of two separate investigations launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was arrested on August 14 on charges of "mediating bribery." Following his arrest as part of the investigations conducted against him, an indictment was prepared seeking a prison sentence of 4 to 12 years for Epözdemir for the crime of "mediating bribery." The indictment had been sent to the Istanbul 18th High Criminal Court for evaluation.
