Indictment against Şenol Aslanoğlu and Tunç Soyer accepted in İzmir

The indictment prepared against 65 people, including former Mayor Tunç Soyer, in the investigation into the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, seeking up to 45 years in prison, has been accepted.
According to the report by Ece İçmez from Cumhuriyet, the İzmir 23rd High Criminal Court, which accepted the indictment seeking up to 45 years in prison for 65 suspects, including former İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer and CHP İzmir Provincial Chair Şenol Aslanoğlu, has assigned a case file number to the proceedings.
Tunç Soyer’s lawyer, Murat Aydın, stated, “The court will announce its decision regarding the detention status of the detained defendants and the hearing date next week.
When the hearing day arrives, we will have the opportunity to respond to all allegations in the presence of the court. It will become clear when the trial concludes that none of the defendants on trial have committed any act that constitutes a crime.”
