Indictment filed against Jahrein for insulting Kılıçdaroğlu

An indictment has been prepared against Ahmet Sonuç, known by the nickname Jahrein, for 'insulting a public official' due to his remarks directed at former CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu during his candidacy.

"WE WILL ENSURE HE IS PUNISHED"

Announcing the news on his X account, Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer Celal Çelik wrote the following:

"We had stated that we would do what is necessary regarding the individual named Ahmet Sonuç (Jahrein), who hurled immoral insults at our 7th Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. We kept our word! As a result of our application, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has issued an indictment against Ahmet Sonuç for the crime of Insulting a Public Official! We will ensure he is punished..."

WHAT DID JAHREİN SAY ABOUT KILIÇDAROĞLU?

According to Birgün's report; the indictment prepared upon Kılıçdaroğlu's complaint included Sonuç's posts: "What are you celebrating, you idiots? You boiled heads. I received hundreds of messages from young people. 'How can I escape the country? My life is over. Is Sharia coming? I will commit suicide, forgive me.' You made the youth anxiety patients by talking about referendums, pig-tie murders, and the last election. You dishonorable people" and "By idiots, I meant the CHP management and the Nation Alliance candidate. It was a tweet open to misinterpretation."

It was stated that the terms 'dishonorable' and 'idiot' used by Sonuç constituted the crime of insult.

In his statement, Sonuç claimed that he had made the posts in question but did not intend to insult.

In a post dated July 21, Sonuç had used the words: "Dementia patient, chickpea-headed, married to his cousin, expert at losing. And there are still those running after him. They tell me I can't be political. True. My wife is not my aunt's daughter."
