Indictment prepared against 41 people, including Muhittin Böcek
The indictment prepared by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office as part of the bribery and corruption investigation into the Metropolitan Municipality has been accepted by the Antalya 6th High Criminal Court. The first hearing of the case will be held on March 16.
A 702-page indictment has been prepared against 41 suspects, including Muhittin Böcek, his son Mustafa Gökhan Böcek, and former Provincial Police Chief İlker Arslan, who were arrested on July 5, 2025.
The indictment includes charges of extortion by coercion, illicit acquisition of assets, influence peddling, laundering of assets derived from crime, aggravated fraud, and slander.
It was stated that a legal assessment was conducted regarding 26 actions identified at this stage.
It was requested that Muhittin Böcek be punished for extortion by coercion, illicit acquisition of assets, and laundering of assets derived from crime; and that Mustafa Gökhan Böcek be punished for extortion by coercion as an accomplice, influence peddling, and illicit acquisition of assets.
The indictment sent to the 6th High Criminal Court has been accepted. It was reported that the first hearing of the case will take place on March 16.
