Indictment prepared against social media influencer Mükremin Gezgin

Mükremin Gezgin, one of the well-known names in the social media sphere, is currently in prison as part of a comprehensive investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. A new development has occurred in the investigation of Gezgin, who was arrested last February on allegations of "facilitating the use of narcotic substances" and "encouraging prostitution or providing a place for prostitution."

The prosecutor's office has officially prepared an indictment against Gezgin for the crimes of "procuring prostitution" and "inciting the public to hatred and hostility." The file has been submitted to the 14th Criminal Court of First Instance. In the prepared indictment, it is alleged that Mükremin Gezgin made various social media posts and that these posts constituted criminal elements.

Prison conditions also drew attention; it was learned that the famous influencer is being held in a single-person cell. Gezgin, who was previously detained as part of a drug operation targeting celebrities, is continuing his legal process in prison following his arrest.

In a statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated, "The indictment prepared against Mükremin Gezgin for the crimes of procuring prostitution and inciting the public to hatred and hostility has been sent to the 14th Criminal Court of First Instance."
