Individual who attacked Minguzzi's grave arrested
Duran A., who was detained for vandalizing the grave of Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi—who was stabbed to death in Kadıköy—and referred to court by the prosecutor's office with a request for arrest, has been jailed.
The grave of 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who lost his life in a knife attack in Kadıköy, Istanbul, had been vandalized.
A special team established within the Istanbul Police Department determined that the person who carried out the attack was Duran A.
Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi's vandalized grave was restored, and security cameras were installed around it.
Duran A., who was taken into custody by the police, was referred to the Bakırköy Courthouse following his statement. After being questioned by the prosecutor's office, Duran A. was referred to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for arrest and was sent to prison by the judge's decision to be tried while in custody.
Six people, including 4 minors, who were determined to have been threatening and blackmailing the Minguzzi family, had also been arrested previously.
