Individual who shot imam in the shoulder with an arrow in Bağcılar arrested
The individual who wounded a mosque imam with an arrow in Istanbul's Bağcılar district has been arrested.
M.F.G., who wounded a mosque imam in Istanbul by shooting him with an arrow, has been arrested.
The police procedures for M.F.G., who was apprehended after shooting and wounding D.K., an imam at a mosque in the Merkez neighborhood of Bağcılar, have been completed.
The suspect was taken for a medical check-up and subsequently referred to the Bakırköy Courthouse.
After giving his statement to the prosecutor, the suspect was referred to the on-duty criminal judgeship of peace with a request for his arrest and was subsequently jailed on charges of "attempted premeditated murder of a person due to the public duty they perform."
Meanwhile, the treatment of the imam, D.K., who was wounded in the incident, continues at the hospital where he was taken.
WHAT HAPPENED?
D.K., an imam at a mosque in the Merkez neighborhood of Bağcılar, was wounded yesterday after being shot with an arrow in his right shoulder near the mosque.
Following the incident, the suspect M.F.G. was apprehended by citizens and handed over to police teams, while the wounded imam D.K. was taken to the hospital.
