Individuals who filmed and appeared in masked threat video against Ağırel detained

Individuals who filmed and appeared in masked threat video against Ağırel detained

While Turkey was discussing the masked threat video published against Ağırel, many figures had called on authorities to take action in response to this threat, stating that the individuals responsible must be apprehended as soon as possible.

With the statement issued, it was announced that the masked individual who shared this threat video against Ağırel and the person who filmed the video have been taken into custody.

The statement, which noted that the masked individual in the video was identified as O.Ö. and the person recording the video as Y.K., recorded the following:

"In an operation conducted on September 4 by the İzmir Organized Crime Branch Directorate under the coordination of our Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Department, the suspects were detained at their residences in İzmir. Along with the individuals, 3 handguns, a quantity of narcotics, 4 mobile phones, and 1 tripod were seized. It was determined that the individual named O.Ö. has a criminal record for 12 separate offenses, while the individual named Y.K. has a record for 2 separate offenses."

FIRST STATEMENT FROM MURAT AĞIREL REGARDING THE DETENTIONS

Journalist Murat Ağırel made a statement on his social media account regarding the detention of the individuals who threatened him and filmed the video. Ağırel said the following:

Our Police Department has issued a statement regarding the individual in the video, where it is described that a contract for my murder was issued, and the person who filmed the video.

The statement reported that the individuals have been taken into custody.

Furthermore, it was stated that the detained individuals have a total of 14 separate criminal records.

I hope that now it is the turn of the person in Ankara who gave the execution order for me...
