Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Cem Demirkan, wounded in Operation Claw-Lock, has died

The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that a soldier who was wounded as a result of an IED explosion during search and clearance activities in the Operation Claw-Lock region on July 4 has died at the hospital where he was receiving treatment.

The following was stated in the announcement made by the MSB:

"Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Cem Demirkan, who was wounded as a result of an IED explosion during search and clearance activities conducted in the Operation Claw-Lock region on July 4, 2024, and whose treatment was ongoing at Gülhane Training and Research Hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions and died on July 19, 2024.

We wish God's mercy upon our dear martyr who lost his life in this incident that has plunged us into deep pain and sorrow, and we extend our condolences and patience to his grieving family, the Turkish Armed Forces, and our noble nation."
