Inside Scoop: Bahçeli is frustrated with Erdoğan and the AKP! 'Let them do whatever they are going to do...'

Kısadalga columnist Sedat Bozkurt shared striking inside information in the section of his column today titled “Bahçeli is truly angry.”

According to Bozkurt, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli expressed his grievances, stating that AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the AKP are not moving at the necessary pace during the new reconciliation process.

Sedat Bozkurt stated, “Devlet Bahçeli entered the ‘Turkey without terrorism’ process very quickly. Erdoğan and the AKP have not yet kept up with this pace. Erdoğan is trying to keep the issue as far away from his party as possible by loading it onto the TBMM and Numan Kurtulmuş. He is likely doing this because he sees a risk.”

"I OPENED THE DOOR ALL THE WAY, LET THEM DO WHATEVER THEY ARE GOING TO DO..."

Stating that Bahçeli has clearly expressed this discomfort in conversations with his inner circle, Bozkurt reported the following:

“Bahçeli complains about this situation in his chats with visitors and makes it felt that he is angry. After the group meeting where he voiced the idea of granting the right to hope to Öcalan, he told his close colleagues in his office, ‘They were always pointing to us as the obstacle to the rapprochement between the DEM and the AKP; well, I have opened the door all the way, they have no obstacles left, let them do whatever they are going to do.’ It is a very confusing statement, a typical Bahçeli statement, that is.”

“HE IS TRYING TO TAKE PRECAUTIONS AGAINST HARSH REACTIONS…”

Another point Bozkurt highlighted in his article is that Bahçeli is closely monitoring the reactions of the party base.

Bozkurt said, “He is also aware that young MHP members and idealists are strongly opposing the process. He is trying to take precautions against this.”

“THE GOAL IS TO STRENGTHEN THE MOTIVATION OF THE COMMISSION…”

Bozkurt stated that while the judicial remarks coming from the MHP appear to be a “demand for an independent judiciary and the rule of law,” the real intention is to “strengthen the motivation of the commission in the TBMM.”

Sedat Bozkurt concluded his assessment with these words:

“Bahçeli has been the Chairman of the MHP for 28 years. And in 26 of those 28 years, he has changed Turkey’s trajectory and created new routes in a way that exceeded the power his party had based on the votes it received. It is useful to look at the issue this way.”
