Özgür Özel and YENİ Party members walked with the public for a while. Following the growing interest of the citizens, the walk turned into a rally. The crowd could not fit into the square.

"Bursa is a city that has always stood behind us and by our side throughout our entire journey. I heartily congratulate those who stand on the right side of history. Today, I started my day at 8 AM at the Bursa Prison, visiting Bursa's elected mayor, Mustafa Bozbey. I brought all of your greetings to him, and I have brought his greetings to all of you.
Mustafa Bozbey is the will of Bursa. The people of Bursa gave him the mandate, and for the first time, the AKP lost. When Bursa elected him, they did not accept the result and set up every conspiracy to remove Bozbey from office. Because they were ahead by a small margin in the Municipal Council, they made slanders and carried out detentions. Without shame or hesitation, they are having Bursa governed not by whom the people of Bursa elected, but by whom Recep Tayyip Erdoğan appointed.
CHALLENGED ERDOĞAN
I am calling out to Erdoğan from Bursa, which served as the capital of the Ottoman Empire for 39 years, from Green Bursa: You have been keeping the mayor, who was elected with a 167 thousand vote margin, inside for 167 days. If you have the courage, if you can face the people of Bursa, come, let's renew the elections in Bursa. Let the nation decide, I challenge you!

Those who cannot face the nation and object to early election demands have now come out, dealing with fallacies such as setting a date for the spring of 2028 and saying elections could be held then and that our President could be a candidate.

"THEY ATTEMPTED A COUP AFTER WE WON THE ELECTIONS"
Bursa has been tired of the AKP's corrupt order for years! Now, it is waiting for a new order from the YENİ Party, a new government that protects retirees, protects laborers, protects farmers and tradesmen, and greens the hopes of the youth. We see this everywhere in Turkey.
After we won the elections, those who could not digest this, not even a year later, started in Esenyurt and attempted a coup by unjustly detaining and arresting the mayor who had won the election against them 3 times in a row in Istanbul, and our presidential candidate.
"WE DID NOT REMAIN SILENT TO THE COUP, WE WROTE HISTORY"
We did not remain silent during this coup. First, we fought in Saraçhane and pushed them back, then we went to Anatolia and said, 'The Nation Protects Its Will.' We were on the bus exactly 116 times. They said, 'The nation won't come, it will be hot, it will be cold.' We wrote history together with you.
"THEY SIGNALED THE GOVERNMENT BY SAYING 'WE WILL PURIFY'"
They told us, 'Do Ankara-centered politics, get off the bus,' but we did not accept. You know that after that day, some started signaling the government, offering to the government by saying, 'If you bring us in, we will slander those you slandered, we will purify, we will scratch.' This government signed a new coup on May 21, deciding to create an appointed order instead of the party's elected officials and to win elections that way.
"I TRUSTED THE PEOPLE"
That day, those who removed us from our father's house by police force took away our resources and said, 'Let's see what you will do.' We had the massive state in front of us and the resources of the main opposition behind us, and I left them behind and trusted one person: you (the people).
