Interim ruling announced in IMM case: 6 people released
In the IMM case, 6 people, including Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney, were released.
The 64th session of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) case is being held, in which 414 people, including IMM Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, are being tried, with 59 currently in custody.
During the tense hearing, from which İmamoğlu was removed, the prosecutor requested the release of 3 individuals in their closing statement.
6 PEOPLE RELEASED
In its interim ruling, the court decided to release Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney, former Medya A.Ş employee Ceyda Kıryak, IMM Public Relations Manager Serap Karay, Mehmet Karataş, Seyfullah Demirel, and Metin Bal.
Following the release decisions, the IMM case was adjourned until August 17. The court panel noted that the defenses of the defendants not in custody would be heard at the next hearing.
