Minister Yerlikaya used the following expressions:
"We have opened not only our border gates but also our hearts to our Syrian brothers and sisters. Because our history and our culture require us not to turn our backs on those in difficulty, but to extend a helping hand. As of today, there are 2 million 880 thousand Syrians. Their dignified and safe return continues. The number of those who have returned since 2017 has reached 792 thousand 625.
Since December 8, 52,622 Syrians have returned to their countries in a voluntary, safe, dignified, and orderly manner. We would like to state that 41 thousand of these 52,622 returning Syrian brothers and sisters were families, and the remaining were individuals traveling alone."
