Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi has paid an official visit to the capital, Nicosia, to hold meetings with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Tufan Erhürman and various high-level officials.
Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi has paid an official visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to hold various meetings.
Minister Çiftçi was accompanied by a delegation that included AKP Konya Deputy Orhan Erdem.
The delegation was welcomed at Ercan Airport in the capital, Nicosia, by TRNC Interior Minister Dursun Oğuz, Turkey's Ambassador to Nicosia Ali Murat Başçeri, and other officials.
As part of his contacts in the TRNC, Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi is expected to hold meetings tomorrow with TRNC President Tufan Erhürman, Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic Ziya Öztürkler, and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel.
Minister Çiftçi is also scheduled to meet with TRNC Security Forces Commander Major General İlker Görgülü and Cyprus Turkish Peace Forces Commander Lieutenant General Sebahattin Kılınç.
