Interior Minister Yerlikaya announces: Operations continue against those producing obscene content on TikTok

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that in the last 6 months, 14 out of 1,332 account managers producing obscene content on TikTok have been arrested, judicial control measures have been imposed on 48, deportation procedures are underway for 14 individuals, and 612 accounts continue to be investigated.

Yerlikaya also provided information regarding the fight against violence against women. The Minister stated that in the last 180 days, there were 98,249 incidents of violence against women, in which 151 women lost their lives, 99 people were arrested, and 38 people committed suicide.

FIGHT AGAINST PKK/KCK

Stating that operations against the PKK/KCK continue with determination, Yerlikaya said, "In the last 6 months, we carried out 1,973 urban operations and 11,668 rural operations. In these operations, 1,973 terrorists were neutralized, and 1,051 weapons and ammunition were seized."

Expressing that significant successes have also been achieved in the fight against organized crime groups, Yerlikaya stated, "In the last 6 months, 4,303 suspects were detained, 1,304 of whom were arrested. In these operations, 2,418 weapons and ammunition were seized."

Stating that important steps have been taken in the fight against drugs, Yerlikaya said, "With the NARVAS project, we received 9,675 reports and questioned 59,000 people. In the last 6 months, we carried out 132,537 drug operations, detained 15,280 people, and arrested 14,537 people."

Yerlikaya stated that they are also determined in the fight against irregular migration, adding, "We prevented 106,000 migrants from crossing the border. We sent back a significant portion of these migrants."

INCREASE IN VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN CONTINUES

Stating that great importance is also attached to the fight against violence against women, Yerlikaya said, "In the last 6 months, there were 98,249 incidents of violence against women. In these incidents, 151 women lost their lives. 99 people involved in these incidents were arrested, and 38 people committed suicide."

Emphasizing that the fight against violence against women will continue with determination, Yerlikaya included the remarks, "We want all our citizens to be sensitive about this issue. Everyone should know that violence against women will not go unpunished."
