International aid organization Oxfam: There is no justification for targeting hospitals
International aid organization Oxfam stated, "There is no justification for targeting hospitals," following the Israeli military's targeting of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza.
An Oxfam spokesperson, speaking on behalf of the organization, responded to questions regarding Israel's targeting of the hospital.
The spokesperson said, "There is no justification for targeting hospitals, especially a hospital (Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza) where thousands of civilians are sheltering."
Oxfam had also called for a ceasefire after the Israeli military announced it would expand its ground operations in Gaza.
CURRENT SITUATION IN GAZA
Due to intense attacks by Israel in the blockaded Gaza Strip, landline, mobile phone, and internet communication services in the region have been completely cut off.
The Israeli military announced that it is increasing its airstrikes and will expand its ground operations.
Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest healthcare facility in Gaza where thousands of wounded people and civilians are located, has also been targeted by the Israeli military.
