The questioning of Engin Polat and his wife Dilan Polat, who have been in the spotlight over money laundering allegations and were detained on November 1, has concluded. The two answered questions directed at them for over 6 hours.
Dilan Polat and Engin Polat were detained on charges of 'establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes, money laundering, and violating tax laws.'
The Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had launched an investigation into suspects, including Engin Polat and his wife Dilan Polat, for 'violation of the Law on Prevention of Laundering Proceeds of Crime, the Tax Procedure Law, and the Law on Regulation of Betting and Games of Chance in Football and Other Sports Competitions.'
