Investigation launched into Bedri Usta owner Bedrettin Aydoğdu
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into Bedrettin Aydoğdu, the owner of Bedri Usta restaurants, who recently became the subject of public debate following a social media post regarding a restaurant bill.
Bedrettin Aydoğdu, the owner of Bedri Usta restaurants, had previously issued an apology following calls for a boycott after a customer's reaction to a bill went viral on social media.
Following the controversy, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office took action and announced that an investigation had been launched into Aydoğdu.
In the statement released by the prosecutor's office, the following details were provided regarding the grounds for the investigation:
“An ex officio investigation has been launched into the business operating under the name 'Bedri Usta Kebap' and its owner, Bedrettin Aydoğdu, following reports and complaints regarding allegations that content concerning high-price practices was published by being reshared with comments such as, 'You don't have many followers, let me share it so people can see.'”
