Following the heavy rainfall that affected Istanbul, a technical investigation was conducted into claims that surfaced on social media regarding the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex RAMS Park Stadium and the Aslanvadi Project located at the lower level of the stadium.
Some posts had alleged that a landslide occurred around RAMS Park and that 2-3 centimeter cracks had formed in some parts of the stadium. Following these claims, teams from the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change carried out inspections in the area.

In a statement made by the Provincial Directorate, it was noted that the extreme rainfall seen in the Marmara Region on October 14 and thereafter led to floods and inundations, and that various claims regarding RAMS Park and the Aslanvadi Project were reflected in the public domain during this period.
According to the statement, technical teams conducted on-site inspections at the RAMS Park Stadium and the construction site of the Aslanvadi Project. It was reported that no structural issues were encountered at the stadium as a result of the checks.
It was also noted that no negative situation was detected at the Aslanvadi Project site. It was stated that pile foundation manufacturing continues in the project area.
The Istanbul Provincial Directorate announced that the claims that caused public concern were determined not to reflect the truth as a result of the technical investigations. The statement emphasized that the Ministry will continue to monitor developments regarding the disaster process, prioritizing the life and property safety of citizens.
