It has been learned that the investigation launched into Zafer Party leader Ümit Özdağ, who was detained on charges of insulting the President, has been expanded. It was decided that Özdağ would also be investigated for the crime of 'inciting the public to hatred and hostility'.
An investigation had been launched against Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ for insulting the President due to remarks he made regarding AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
It was reported that the investigation opened against Ümit Özdağ, who was detained and brought to Istanbul, has been expanded to include the crime of 'inciting the public to hatred and hostility'.
A post was shared from the social media account of the detained Özdağ.
