Investigation launched into graduation ceremony where autistic student was excluded
The Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education announced that an investigation has been launched regarding allegations that an autistic child was not allowed to participate in a graduation ceremony held at a kindergarten.
The written statement issued by the Provincial Directorate of National Education included the following:
"Following allegations appearing in the press and on social media platforms regarding an incident said to have occurred at one of our educational institutions, in which an autistic kindergarten student was allegedly excluded by their teachers from a graduation ceremony, an immediate review and investigation have been launched by our Directorate.
The matter is being followed by us with sensitivity."
