Investigation launched into 'Erdoğan has passed away' post

A post made from the Facebook account of Aydın Denge Gazetesi has sparked reactions on social media. It was noted that in the post, the phrase "Erdoğan has passed away" was highlighted in an image belonging to a death announcement for a person named "Gülşen Erdoğan".

Following the post in question, the Aydın Chief Public Prosecutor's Office took action. It was reported that the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation under the crime of "Publicly Spreading Misleading Information," as regulated in Article 217/A of the Turkish Penal Code.
