The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into former Search and Rescue Association (AKUT) President Nasuh Mahruki due to a post he made on his social media account regarding July 15. A detention order has been issued for Mahruki.
The post by Mahruki cited as the reason for the investigation is as follows:
"July 15 is a coup attempt that was noticed in advance but was not intentionally prevented as it was seen as an opportunity for a regime change, and was allowed to take place in a controlled manner. The main planner is the USA; it sacrificed the Bishop, took the Queen, made Erdoğan the King, and checkmated the Turkish nation."
