The Çorum Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has issued a statement regarding the explosion that occurred on Osmancık Street in the city center of Çorum. The statement announced that an investigation has been launched into the incident, in which 1 person died and 16 people were injured.

Meanwhile, teams from Çorumgaz, the authorized natural gas company affiliated with Ahlatçı Holding, have also begun work at the scene.

The statement included the following remarks:
"One of our citizens lost their life at the scene and 16 of our citizens were injured in the explosion that occurred in the 4-story building named Hilal Apartment located on Osmancık Street. According to initial findings, the incident is assessed to be a natural gas explosion. A judicial investigation has been launched by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident, and it is being examined in all its aspects. We respectfully announce to the public that the necessary judicial actions will be taken as soon as possible against the person or persons responsible."
