The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an ex officio investigation into an individual who targeted the police force in a post regarding the kidnapping of Erhan Karaal, Deputy General Manager of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Kültür A.Ş., on charges of "publicly disseminating misleading information" and "insulting the institutions and organs of the state." A detention warrant has been issued for the suspect.
It was reported that an investigation is being conducted against an individual identified as A.Ç., who targeted the police force regarding the incident in which Erhan Karaal, Deputy General Manager of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Kültür A.Ş., was kidnapped, on charges of "publicly disseminating misleading information" and "insulting the institutions and organs of the state."
It was learned that a detention warrant has been issued for the suspect. While efforts to apprehend the suspect have been initiated, it was stated that the judicial process regarding claims and posts that target public order and social peace, and are insulting toward state institutions, is being carried out meticulously.
