Investigation opened for 2 separate crimes: Beykoz Deputy Mayor Fidan Gül referred to the courthouse!
Beykoz Deputy Mayor Fidan Gül, who was detained as part of an investigation into allegations of bid-rigging and forming a criminal organization at the Beykoz Municipality, has been referred to the courthouse following processing.
The investigation conducted by the Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into allegations of bid-rigging in certain procurement tenders within the Social Assistance Affairs Directorate of the Beykoz Municipality is deepening. The investigation file includes charges of "bid-rigging" and "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes, membership in an organization, and aiding and abetting."
12 suspects, including Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler, had previously been arrested within the scope of this investigation.
FİDAN GÜL REFERRED TO THE COURTHOUSE
A new development has occurred in the investigation. The processing of Beykoz Deputy Mayor Fidan Gül, who was detained yesterday, has been completed at the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch. After undergoing a medical check-up, Gül was referred to the Beykoz Courthouse.
FROM IMM TO BEYKOZ
Fidan Gül previously served as the Culture and Sports Director during Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's tenure as the Mayor of Beylikdüzü, holding this position for a long time.
Later serving as the nursery manager at the Beylikdüzü Municipality, Gül was appointed as the Social Assistance Affairs Director of the Beykoz Municipality in June 2024. Just a few months later, in October 2024, she was appointed as deputy mayor by Mayor Alaattin Köseler. With this role, Gül also became responsible for the Social Assistance Affairs Directorate.
