Invitation to Palestine rally from İmamoğlu
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has invited citizens to the Palestine Support Rally to be held at Eyüpsultan Square.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, in his speech at his party's 22nd Extraordinary Congress, criticized President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan through the lens of US President Donald Trump.
Stating that "Tayyip Erdoğan is Trump's man," the CHP leader pointed to the area in front of the Palestinian Embassy in Eyüpsultan as the location for the new party rally. Announcing that they will hold the rally on Wednesday, one day before the meeting to be held in the US on Thursday, Özel invited all CHP members and political parties to show solidarity with Palestinian flags.
In a message shared from his Presidential Candidate Office, İmamoğlu stated, "Gaza is neither a real estate project that whets someone's appetite, nor is it a subject of negotiation for someone's political future.
Palestine is a matter of humanity, dignity, and conscience. I invite all Istanbulites to the Palestine Support Rally."
