The Ministry of the Interior stated that the suspect detained in connection with the attack plot is an Iraqi national.
According to the report, the Austrian Ministry of the Interior stated that it is said the detained Iraqi suspect 'comes from the same circle' as the 19-year-old main suspect, who is described as an 'Austrian of North Macedonian descent'.
It had been announced that the main suspect, who had pledged allegiance to ISIS, was planning an attack targeting up to 20,000 Taylor Swift fans expected to gather at the Ernst Happel Stadium outside Vienna.
While Swift was planning to hold three concerts in the Austrian capital on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, all three concerts were canceled late Wednesday due to security concerns.
