Irregular migrant operation in İzmir
According to a statement on the Coast Guard Command's website, a group of irregular migrants was detected in a rubber boat by a Coast Guard Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.
54 irregular migrants attempting to leave the country illegally off the coast of İzmir were apprehended, and 38 irregular migrants whose rubber boat engine failed were brought to shore.
Teams assigned to the region stopped the moving rubber boat and apprehended 54 irregular migrants.
Off the coast of the Dikili district, 38 irregular migrants, whose rubber boat was drifting due to an engine failure and who were picked up by a fishing boat in the area, were rescued by Coast Guard teams.
The irregular migrants were sent to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management after their processing.
