Irregular migrant operation in İzmir: 40 people apprehended
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the details of the Kalkan-15 operations on X.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 40 irregular migrants were apprehended during operations conducted at 35 hotels in the Basmane district of İzmir.
Yerlikaya stated the following:
"In the 'KALKAN-15' operations conducted in the Basmane district of İzmir, legal action was taken against 35 hotels that provided accommodation to irregular migrants despite knowing their status, and fines were imposed! 40 irregular migrants were apprehended!"
