Is Narin Güran’s uncle Salim Güran a member of HÜDA PAR? Statement from Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu
Ahmet Hakan, who stated that he called HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, shared the answers he received regarding Narin Güran’s uncle, Salim Güran, in his column.
It has been alleged that the uncle, Salim Güran, who was arrested as part of the Narin Güran murder investigation, is a member of HÜDA PAR.
Hürriyet Editor-in-Chief Ahmet Hakan, known for his proximity to the government, covered his conversation with HÜDA PAR leader Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu regarding the claim in his column.
Stating, “I called HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu and asked him clearly,” Ahmet Hakan shared the response he received as follows:
“He has neither held any administrative position in our party nor is he a member of our party. He has not even passed by the door of our party. We do not know him, we do not recognize him.”
The relevant section from Ahmet Hakan’s article titled ‘I asked HÜDA PAR: Is the uncle from your party?’ is as follows:
"I read, hear, and see things like this here and there:
- Narin’s village is Hezbollah-affiliated.
- The village fully supports HÜDA PAR.
- Uncle Salim served as a head in HÜDA PAR.
And so on.
*
There are those who constantly write these things. There are those who constantly comment on them.
*
I called HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu and asked him clearly:
*
“Did the man called Uncle Salim hold any administrative position in your party?”.
*
The answer was very clear:
*
“He has neither held any administrative position in our party nor is he a member of our party. He has not even passed by the door of our party. We do not know him, we do not recognize him”.
*
Touching upon Uncle Salim’s profile, Yapıcıoğlu also said the following:
*
“It is alleged that this man engages in usury. A person with such a profile has no place in our party, and cannot have one. Our party would not accept an individual with this profile. Everyone in the region knows this”.
*
So, is the village called Tavşantepe a village where HÜDA PAR is dominant?
Yapıcıoğlu said the following on this matter as well:
*
“Not a single member of this family has even passed by our door. Furthermore, we do not have a single member in this village”.
*
Which party is dominant in the election results in the village?
Yapıcıoğlu said the following on this matter:
*
“In one election in Tavşantepe, the BDP came in first, in one election the HDP came in first, and in one election the AK Party came in first. The IYI Party has also come in first in one election. We have generally come in third. There was a time when we came in second when I was an independent candidate. In other words, this is a village where every party receives votes. Furthermore, trying to draw a conclusion from election results is not right. It is a disgusting approach to establish a link between such a vile, hateful, and terrible crime and the vote percentages received by parties”.
*
Another claim is that this village was a nest for Hezbollah in the past.
Yapıcıoğlu denied this claim as well:
*
“In the past, claims were made that there were connections between some villages and Hezbollah. However, there is nothing to suggest a connection between Tavşantepe village and Hezbollah. This is also a lie, this is also not true”.
*
Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu’s final comment on the subject is as follows:
*
“May God damn those who brutally murdered an innocent little girl. May God also damn those who use this terrible murder as a tool for politics and our party, and tell lies”.
