Is the diploma of People's Alliance ABB candidate Turgut Altınok fake? Allegations of 'no bar registration'

Journalist Yavuz Selim Demirağ, appearing on a program on Flash TV, claimed that the diploma of the People's Alliance Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral candidate, AKP member Turgut Altınok, is fake.

According to a report by Yeniçağ, Demirağ stated that Turgut Altınok completed his law degree in 33 days and that his diploma is fraudulent.

"NO REGISTRATION WITH THE BAR"

Demirağ made the following statements:

"The diplomas of our politicians are always being debated, aren't they? Turgut Altınok had it written down that he 'graduated from law school.' He already finished Kalaba High School externally. He enrolled in the university in '98. The Azerbaijani state later closed that university. He received a diploma in 33 days in '98. Then he had it written down that his profession is a lawyer. He has no registration with the bar. The diploma is fake. What more can I say?"

"TAPES ARE NOT OUR STYLE..."

Following his remarks, Demirağ posted on X, saying, "Even though we didn't want to get into the diploma issue, we couldn't hold back when those without diplomas overstepped their bounds.." Demirağ also addressed Altınok, stating, "Turgut Altınok, be careful.. Tapes are not our style.. At least just be quiet."

ALTINOK'S EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

The biography of Altınok, who serves as the mayor of Ankara's Keçiören district, is listed on the municipality's website as follows:

"He completed his primary education at Keçiören Fevzi Atlıoğlu Primary School and his secondary education at Keçiören Kalaba High School. Altınok, who completed his higher education in the field of international law, received the title of 'Professor' from the Azerbaijan International Vector Science Center and the Kazakh Abai State University for his work in developing Turkey-Azerbaijan relations."
