It has been alleged that Masood Zikria, an Afghan national and one of Australia's most wanted individuals, was working as a contractor in Istanbul's Beşiktaş district.
Sözcü columnist İsmail Saymaz wrote that Afghan national Masood Zikria, known as the number two of the 'Alameddine' criminal organization and one of Australia's most wanted individuals, was working as a contractor in Istanbul's Beşiktaş district.
THERE WAS AN ARREST WARRANT
Stating that Masood Zikria was detained as soon as he got off the plane at Darwin Airport on December 4, Saymaz drew attention to the fact that there was an arrest warrant for him in his home country on charges of “attempted murder, membership in a criminal organization, and drug trafficking.”
ALLEGED TO HAVE ARRIVED IN TURKEY BY FISHING BOAT
Saymaz noted that there are allegations that Zikria arrived in Turkey from Malaysia in December 2021 on a fishing boat. Stating that Zikria applied for temporary residence in Esenyurt on October 19, 2022, and was granted a residence permit until November 1, 2023, Saymaz provided the following information:
