İsmail Saymaz shares post with note 'we are seeking justice against the judiciary': 'What is my crime?'
Journalist İsmail Saymaz had previously announced that a travel ban had been imposed on him and his passport had been confiscated. Saymaz detailed the steps he and his lawyers took to challenge the matter and what he has experienced.
Saymaz, who wanted to travel abroad with his wife and child last weekend and learned there that a travel ban had been imposed on him, had his passport confiscated.
Announcing the injustice he faced on his social media account, İsmail Saymaz this time shared what happened during the objection process regarding the travel ban together with his lawyers.
In a new post on his social media account, Saymaz stated that the injustice done to him is compounding, and included the following statements:
The injustice done to me is compounding.
I am facing a disregard for the law that has no precedent in our history.
As is known, a travel ban was imposed on me and my passport was taken from me without even my statement being taken.
This morning, my lawyers Aslı Kazan and Serdar Laçin went to the Istanbul Courthouse to object to the decision.
At the prosecutor's office, they learned that access to the file had been restricted by a judge's decision.
They requested copies of the restriction and travel ban decisions in order to file an objection.
However, these decisions were neither given to us nor shown to us.
Yet, according to Article 153/3 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CMK), decisions and minutes are not subject to confidentiality. They must be given to us by law.
How can we object to decisions for which no copy is provided and the content of which is not shown?
My lawyers submitted a second petition and met with the prosecutor. The prosecutor's office did not accept to process our second petition either.
Furthermore, although we notified them that I am ready to give a statement today, tomorrow, or as soon as possible, we were not told to "come in."
What is my crime?
It is not being said.
Or is there an attempt to find an 'organization' for me as well?
An investigation is being conducted that trolls know about, but which is hidden from us.
We are seeking justice against the judiciary.
Bana yapılan hukuksuzluk katmerlenerek artıyor.

Tarihimizde benzeri olmayan bir hukuk tanımazlıkla karşı karşıyayım.
Malum, ifadem bile alınmadan hakkımda yurt dışına çıkış yasağı konmuş, pasaportum elimden alınmıştı.
Bugün sabah avukatlarım Aslı Kazan ve Serdar Laçin, karara…
