İsmail Yetişkin had been arrested: Seferihisar's acting mayor has been determined
Following the arrest and suspension of İsmail Yetişkin, Fuat Gümüş was elected as acting mayor with 17 votes in the ballot held.
Following the arrest and suspension of Seferihisar Mayor İsmail Yetişkin, an election for an acting mayor was held in the municipal council.
The Seferihisar Municipal Council convened in the council chamber to determine the acting mayor. In the election where 23 council members cast their votes, CHP council member Fuat Gümüş was elected as acting mayor, receiving 17 votes.

In the voting, other candidates Ümit Cingöz and Çağatay Rasim Çağır received one vote each. There were 4 blank votes in the election.
As part of a bribery investigation targeting the Seferihisar Municipality, 25 people, including Seferihisar Mayor İsmail Yetişkin, Balçova Mayor Onur Yiğit, and Seferihisar deputy mayors N.H. and İ.K., were detained on June 25.

Within the scope of the investigation, 12 people, including Yetişkin, were arrested, and the Ministry of Interior announced that İsmail Yetişkin had been suspended from his duties.
