Israel confirms its soldiers have been taken captive
Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari has confirmed that Hamas has taken Israeli soldiers captive.
As the operation by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, against Israel continues, a statement regarding captive soldiers has come from Israel.
Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari confirmed in a statement that Israeli soldiers are being held captive in the Gaza Strip.
Stating that Israeli soldiers have been killed in the clashes, Hagari did not provide any figures regarding the number of hostages or soldiers killed. Noting that clashes are still ongoing at 22 locations in southern Israel, Hagari said that 4 additional divisions have been deployed to the Gaza border in addition to the 31 battalions already stationed there.
