Israel detains Palestinian journalist in occupied West Bank!

It has been reported that Israeli soldiers have detained a female journalist in Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Israeli forces detained one of the agency's correspondents, Rasha Harazallah, in Nablus.

The report noted that Harazallah, who had been summoned by Israeli intelligence for questioning at a detention center in the Ariel settlement, arrived there with her lawyer.

It was stated that upon her arrival at the center, she was informed that she would be held there for 72 hours.

THIS DECISION WAS CONDEMNED

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate condemned Harazallah's detention in a written statement.

The statement called on international institutions to fulfill their responsibilities to stop crimes such as "killing and detention" committed against Palestinian journalists in the West Bank and Gaza.

In a previous written statement, the Palestinian Prisoners Society reported that Israel has detained or held 80 Palestinian media members in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
