Israel strikes UN school in Gaza Strip

The Israeli military carried out an airstrike on a school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, where hundreds of Palestinians had taken shelter.

Israel continues its airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. The Israeli military, which has attacked numerous locations including civilian residential areas, hospitals, mosques, schools, and churches, struck a school under the UNRWA where hundreds of Palestinians had fled the bombardment to seek shelter.

Many Palestinians were left trapped under the rubble in the attack. No information has been provided yet regarding the number of casualties or injuries.

ATTACKS ON GAZA INTENSIFIED

The Israeli military announced that it is intensifying its airstrikes on the Gaza Strip in order to "prepare for the next stage of the war and reduce the threats it will face".

Israeli Army Spokesperson Daniel Hagari stated in a press briefing that they would not stop the attacks in Gaza.

Pointing to a ground operation in Gaza, Hagari said, "We are working to increase the attacks in Gaza to prepare for the next stage of the war and to reduce the threats our forces may face."
