Israeli soldiers attack 9 boats in the Sumud Flotilla: 70 people, including 21 Turks, detained
20 Israeli naval warships approached the Sumud Flotilla and subsequently intervened. During the live-streamed attack, 9 boats in the flotilla were intercepted, and 21 Turkish citizens were detained.
20 warships belonging to the Israeli Navy intervened in the Sumud Flotilla. An attack was carried out by the Israeli Navy against 9 boats belonging to the Sumud Flotilla.
Almost all live broadcasts from the ships were cut off. It was reported that ships, aircraft, and UAVs surrounded the activists in the flotilla. The Sumud Flotilla was encircled. The Israeli military also severed communication between the ships.
It is estimated that the Alma, the ship on which Greta Thunberg was located, was the first vessel to be intercepted. A similar situation applies to the other ships.
However, the calmness of the activists in the Sumud Flotilla did not go unnoticed by viewers. Surrounded by the Israeli Navy, the activists played games, sang songs, and made heart signs at the cameras.

An Al Jazeera reporter accompanying the flotilla stated that while the Israeli Navy was detaining the activists on the ships they intercepted, they first confiscated their phones.
Renowned climate activist and organizer of the flotilla, Greta Thunberg, addressed the world via video as the Israeli ships approached. Greta said, "I think they are going to intervene with us this evening. This situation is against human rights and international maritime law."
In the raid carried out by Israel on the Global Sumud Flotilla, ships named Sirius, Alma, Spectra, Huga, Adara, and Deir Yassin have been seized so far.

Israel's intervention against the Global Sumud Flotilla, which aims to break the blockade on the Gaza Strip, continues. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that some activists in the Global Sumud Flotilla had been detained and released footage of the detained activists. The ministry said, "Several ships of the Sumud flotilla have been stopped safely and their passengers are being transported to an Israeli port. Greta and her friends are safe and well."
Thunberg had previously been detained by Israel. Thunberg was detained by the Israeli military on June 9 during an intervention in international waters, 185 kilometers from Gaza, against the Madleen ship, which had set sail from Catania in the Sicily region of Italy on June 1 to break Israel's blockade on Gaza and deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Thunberg was later deported.
Footage of the moment the Sumud Flotilla, which was carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, was blockaded by the Israeli Navy has emerged.
