Istanbul Bar Association Women's Rights Center calls on 3 ministers to resign: 'Perpetrators are not arrested, they are released back onto the streets'

The Istanbul Bar Association Women's Rights Center made a post on social media titled "Invitation to Resign."

'WE INVITE YOU TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND RESIGN'

The following statements were included in the post:

"We have long since exceeded the limits of tolerance. Not a day goes by without a woman being murdered, without an atrocity taking place!

In Fatih, 2 more women are brutally murdered; in Beyoğlu, a woman is sexually assaulted in broad daylight while walking on the street, and the perpetrators are not arrested but released back onto the streets!

At this point, while women's safety and bodily integrity are under threat both inside and outside the home, unfortunately, there is no visible effective struggle by the government against violence against women!

We are calling on the Minister of Justice, the Minister of Interior, and the Minister of Family once again. We invite all officials who do not/cannot stop these massacres and violence to take responsibility and resign!

Let femicides and violence against women stop now!"
