Istanbul Governor's Office announces road closures and alternative routes for New Year's Eve

The message from the Istanbul Governor's Office stated the following:

"On 31.12.2025, due to New Year's Eve security measures in the Beyoğlu, Şişli, Beşiktaş, and Kadıköy districts, and on 01.01.2026, due to the events taking place in the Fatih and Beyoğlu districts, specifically the "Turkey Youth Foundation March Program, certain roads will be closed to traffic."The roads to be closed to traffic and alternativeroutes due to the "March Program"are as follows: Roads to be closed on 31.12.2025 due to New Year's measures (Beyoğlu, from 14:00 until the end of the program)

On the T-1 Kabataş-Bağcılar Tram Line;

On December 31, 2025,starting from 22:00, KabataNo services will be provided between the stations of [Station Name]-Sultanahmet.

On January 1, 2026, from03:00 AM until the end of the measures, no services will be provided between the Kabataş-Beyazıt stations.

On the T-5 Eminönü-Alibeyköy Tram Line;on

January 1, 2026,from 03:00 on the day until the end of the security measures, no services will be operated between the Küçükpazar and Eminönü stations."
