Istanbul Governor's Office closes some metro stations!
The Istanbul Governor's Office has decided to close the Taksim station of the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line, the Istiklal Street entrance of the Şişhane station, and the F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular line as of 3:00 PM today until further notice.
The Istanbul Governor's Office has decided to close some metro stations.
In a statement made on Metro Istanbul's X account, the following expressions were used:
"In accordance with the decision taken by the Istanbul Governor's Office, as of 3:00 PM today, the Taksim station of our M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line, the Istiklal Street entrance of our Şişhane station, and our F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular Line will be closed to operations until further notice. Our vehicles will continue their journeys without stopping at Taksim station."
Taksim Solidarity had called for a gathering in Taksim on the 12th anniversary of Gezi Park.
