Istanbul Governor's Office issues statement on traffic measures for Ramadan Feast
The Istanbul Governor's Office has announced the measures taken to prevent traffic congestion and accidents during the holiday period and the return to the city after the break.
In a statement issued by the Istanbul Governor's Office regarding traffic measures for the Ramadan Feast, it was stated that "On April 13-14, heavy-tonnage and cargo-carrying vehicles located in places such as truck garages, customs areas, ports, and warehouses will not be permitted to enter the D100 Highway, O-7 Northern Marmara Highway, O-3 TEM, and all connecting roads."
The Istanbul Governor's Office issued a written statement regarding traffic measures for the Ramadan Feast. The statement included the following: "Within the scope of measures taken during the Ramadan Feast holiday and the school mid-term break; considering that citizens will be returning on April 13-14, 2024, due to the overlap of the holiday dates, in order to minimize the negative effects of traffic density and prevent fatal/injury-causing traffic accidents, and to ensure no negative incidents occur; on April 13-14, heavy-tonnage and cargo-carrying vehicles located in places such as truck garages, customs areas, ports, and warehouses will not be permitted to enter the D100 Highway, O-7 Northern Marmara Highway, O-3 TEM, and all connecting roads. From 05:00 on Sunday, April 14, 2024, until 05:00 on Monday, April 15, 2024, heavy-tonnage vehicles such as trucks, tractor-trailers, and concrete mixers will not be permitted to enter."
