Heavy rainfall that hit Istanbul yesterday caused flooding in many parts of the city. In Sarıyer's Ayazağa, one of the areas most affected by the downpour, stranded citizens were transported to safe areas with the help of construction machinery.
Transportation disruptions occurred as water levels rose in the region. During the rescue operations, teams were seen reaching the stranded individuals by moving through the area with construction machinery.
In the area where the downpour was intense, iron debris and tree branches blown by the wind were captured on camera. The footage showed teams working in the submerged area and highlighted the destruction caused by the rainfall.
While similar negative conditions were experienced in some districts across the city following the rain, it was reported that evacuation efforts in Ayazağa continued with the use of construction machinery.
