''A JOB NOT EVERYONE CAN DO''

Nagihan Yılmaz, who has been a funeral washer for 11 years, emphasized that her profession is not an ordinary job. Yılmaz said, "I started this profession voluntarily and I am very satisfied. We do a job that not everyone has the courage to do. It is a profession with a heavy spiritual aspect, but it is also satisfying," she said.

Stating that they want to break the melancholic and soulless perception of funeral washers, Yılmaz expressed, "We are very happy in our private lives. We are cheerful, humorous people who spread joy to those around us. However, because of our profession, people can misunderstand us," she stated.

''A PROFESSION WITH HIGH SPIRITUALITY''

10-year funeral washer İsmail Çelebi also stated that this profession has a high spiritual dimension. Çelebi said, "It is a profession with high spirituality. To do this job, one needs to be mentally strong," he said.

While emphasizing that his social life is not negatively affected by his job, Çelebi added, "I am a cheerful person, I love humor. While trying to do our job in the best way possible, we also keep our social lives in balance," he said.
