It had become a grave for 103 people... Investigation permit granted for public officials in the Kule Apartment case!

The Antakya District Governorship has granted an investigation permit for public officials in the case of the Kule Apartment, which became a grave for 103 people in the February 6, 2023, Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes. 

In the case opened regarding the building that turned into a pile of rubble, the Hatay Chief Public Prosecutor's Office requested an investigation permit for public officials. The Antakya District Governorship granted the investigation permit for the then-Deputy Mayor of Antakya, Nuriye Elçin Eryetli, and 5 other public officials.

In the investigation permit document, it was stated that a decision to "Grant Investigation Permit" was made in accordance with Article 6 of Law No. 4483 regarding the then-Map Technician Ali Şevki Sarcan, who had a signature on the 20 percent progress payment report dated November 8, 2017, due to the determination that the building's ground floor was constructed contrary to the licensing project. 

It was reported that a decision to "Grant Investigation Permit" was made in accordance with the relevant article of Law No. 4483 regarding the then-Deputy Mayor of Antakya Nuriye Elçin Eryetli, former Antakya Municipality Director of Science Affairs and civil engineer Mehmet Bük, mechanical engineer Mustafa İnan, architect Nigar Nilay Havayıoğlu, and Acting Director of Zoning and Urbanization Mehmet Cevdet Havayıoğlu, who had signatures on the occupancy permit dated February 4, 2018.
