It has been revealed that the fire in the German city of Solingen was arson; a Turkish journalist reacted to the indifference of German authorities!

In Germany's Solingen city, in a fire that broke out in a 4-story building, 4 people from the same family, including 2 children, lost their lives, and 9 people were injured.

In a statement made by the fire department, it was stated that 4 people from the same family, including 2 children, who were caught in the fire while sleeping at night in their attic apartment, lost their lives, and 9 people, 2 of whom were in serious condition, were injured in the fire that started on the 2nd floor of the 4-story building.

The statement, which reported that 21 people in the building were evacuated following the fire, noted that many people affected by smoke inhalation were treated at the scene.

The Wuppertal Public Prosecutor's Office, determined through investigations that the fire was the result of arson. 

It was also determined that a baby carriage in the building's hallway had been set on fire days before the blaze that reduced the house to ashes.

The incident brings to mind the 1993 Solingen tragedy , in which five Turks were massacred.

IDENTITIES REVEALED

It has been revealed that the four people from the same family, including two children, who lost their lives in the fire at the four-story building were Bulgarian citizens of Turkish descent.

By Turkey's Consulate General in Düsseldorf In a statement made on the X social media platform, it was requested that the nature of the fire be investigated and clarified as soon as possible.

THE STATEMENT INCLUDED THE FOLLOWING:

"We wish God's mercy upon our Bulgarian-Turkish kinsmen who lost their lives in the fire that broke out in their apartment building in Solingen early yesterday morning, offer our condolences to their grieving families, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We strongly hope that the nature of the fire in question will be investigated and clarified as soon as possible. In this context, our Consulate General will continue to remain in contact with the relevant authorities."

SOLINGEN TRAGEDY: 5 PEOPLE MURDERED

The Solingen Tragedy was an attack that took place on May 29, 1993, in the city of Solingen, Germany, resulting in the murder of five members of the Turkish-origin Genç family after their detached house was set on fire by neo-Nazis.

In the attack that occurred in Solingen on May 29, 1993, four far-right Germans set fire to the Genç family's home, and five members of the family were murdered in the incident. Those who lost their lives from the Genç family were: Gürsün İnce, Hatice, Hülya, Saime Genç, and Gülistan Öztürk.

JOURNALIST OKTAN ERDİKMEN REACTED: ''THERE WASN'T A SINGLE GERMAN OFFICIAL''

Reacting to the indifference of German authorities, Journalist Oktan Erdikmen wrote the following regarding the 4 Turks who were burned to death:

''Most of us didn't even hear about it, but this week in Germany, they burned 4 Turks to death. Two of them were babies. They were placed in tiny coffins. 

I attended the funeral prayer in Solingen. There wasn't a single German official present. I met with the Genç family, our fellow citizens who lost their relatives in a similarly arson-attacked house in the same city years ago. 

This is not the first, and it will not be the last.

'Taste the truth, it is essential that we

support each other'.''
