It has been revealed that the young man who had been missing for 4 days was murdered

The incident occurred around 00:00 in the Süleymaniye neighborhood.

Upon the notification of citizens who heard 4 gunshots, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The medical teams arriving at the scene determined that 18-year-old Muhammed Ali Polat had died. Following the investigations at the scene, Polat's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.

2 PEOPLE DETAINED

Examining security cameras, police teams detained M.İ. and İ.Y. in Bağcılar, who were determined to have entered a daily rental house with Muhammed Ali Polat. The moments when M.İ. and İ.Y. fled after the incident were also captured on security cameras. In a statement made by the Istanbul Police Department regarding the incident, it was stated, "It has been determined that the person fleeing the scene with a gun in his hand was İ.Y., that a dispute broke out between the individuals present in the house on the day of the incident due to a girl-related issue, and that the incident occurred; the suspect was caught in the Bağcılar district together with an individual named M.İ., and 1 gun was seized from M.İ. During the interrogation of the individuals, it was determined that Muhammed Ali Polat and M.İ. had numerous criminal records for similar offenses."

Sıdıka Polat, the grandmother of the murdered Muhammet Ali Polat, said, "My son had been missing for 4 days; we were looking for him but couldn't find him. I cannot forget Mehmet Ali. I cannot forget my son. My son had been missing for four days. He came for a week, two days. We had gone to the police station and filed a missing person report. Today the police called and said your son is in intensive care. My child's home was destroyed; he had come from a distant land. Mehmet Ali was not working; those who killed Mehmet Ali have been caught."

"THEY LOCKED HIM IN A HOUSE AND TORTURED HIM FOR 4 DAYS"

His aunt Gönül Polat said, "Our nephew had been missing for 4 days; his family was looking for him. They locked the child in a house and tortured him for 4 days. They killed the child. Let no more mothers cry, let no more children die. Let this gang that puts money, cars, and drugs in children's pockets and gets the job done be dismantled," she said.
