It has emerged that Alper Gezeravcı was dismissed from the TSK due to a frame-up case

It has emerged that Turkey's first space traveler, Air Force Pilot Colonel Alper Gezeravcı, was a victim of FETÖ.

According to a report by Ersin Eroğlu from 10 Haber, Gezeravcı, who was dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) in 2012 within the scope of the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization's (FETÖ) İzmir Military Espionage frame-up investigation, began working at Turkish Airlines (THY).

It was learned that Gezeravcı, who won the lawsuit he filed, returned to his post in July 2020.

Alper Gezeravcı was not a defendant in the FETÖ frame-up case. When FETÖ prosecutors included Gezeravcı's name in the investigation, the TSK conducted an administrative investigation, and he was acquitted and cleared of the aforementioned slander in 2020.

Alper Gezeravcı is currently serving as a squadron academic training wing commander in Adana.
